Referring to (https://twitter.com/newrelic/status/469982614233702400) tweet, I have read an interesting e-Book about DevOps. It is interesting, thought worth sharing some information!
• What is Devops by definition?
DevOps (a portmanteau of development and operations) is a soft-ware development method that stresses communication, collaboration and integration between software developers and information technology (IT) operations professionals.
• This e-Book talks about what challenges Led to the creation of Devops
Problem: As part of delivery, 2 goals to be achieved are Up to Date (New Features, New Services, and Faster) and Stability (Less Downtime, and Robust). Developers try to achieve first goal and Operations try to achieve other goal which are bi directional.
Solution: DevOps was created to resolve this dilemma by integrating everyone associated with software development and deployment—business users, developers, test engineers, system administrators—into a single, highly automated workflow with a laser focuss.
• What do you think of Devops capabilities?
