Find SQL Server version

@@Version can be used to find SQL Server version. You can also use few system variables to find additional information as follows

select @@SERVERNAME as Server_Name -- To find Server Name 
select @@SERVICENAME as Name_Of_Windows_Service -- Can be used to fin InstanceName 
select @@VERSION as VersionInformation -- To find SQL Version and Windows Server
select SYSTEM_USER as UserInfomration -- to find the credentials used while connecting SQL Server
SELECT SERVERPROPERTY ('productlevel') as ProductLevel, -- TM/ SP1, SP2 etc
SERVERPROPERTY ('edition') as Edition -- Express, Standard etc
